Storage System Standards
Committee (SSSC)
This SSSC sponsors all Storage System standards activities within the IEEE
through the Computer Society.
These activities may include full-use and
trial-use standards; guides; recommended practices; and study groups.
Members of the SSSC include:

Merritt Jones, Past Chair (1993-1999)
Jim Hughes, Vice Chair, Chair of the Security in Storage Working Group (SISWG)
Alan Rollow, Member at Large, Vice Chair of the SSSWG

Present Committee activities include forming and nurturing collaborations;
broadening the set of standards projects underway; participating with voting
status in the IEEE Computer Society's Standards Activity Board; serving within
the Executive Committee of the IEEE Computer Society's Mass Storage Systems
Technical Committee; serving within the IEEE-NASA Mass Storage Systems Symposium
Program Committee; and organizing the Symposium Tutorials.
